One Day Road Trip

I hate driving in the city. I hate driving in a city I don’t know. I hate driving in the city in a stick-shift car.
A homeless man helped me parallel park. His name is Warren.
A homeless man asked us so sincerely to pray for him. We did.
A homeless man was ungrateful when we gave him cookies because he wanted breakfast.
Okay.
Lobster flatbread is delicious.

Felt like a tourist having a Philly Cheesesteak in downtown Philadelphia.
The lemon bar I ate wasn’t the best. Members in Utah make them way better. Oh well 🤷🏽‍♀️

We drove ten hours to go to the temple. Ten hours. Glad my car survived.
The sunrise was breathtaking on the way there. Arizona slept through it.
I’ve resolved to live somewhere close to a temple.
Anyway.
Philadelphia has so much history. Way more than I ever knew.
Came to the realization I need to watch “Rocky”.
Listened to the “Hamilton” soundtrack because it seemed appropriate.
Cute shops are my favorite.

I’ve decided if I don’t make it into PA school I am going to open a cute little bakery.
It was so solemn at the liberty bell. And all I could think about was how grateful I am for religious freedom that allowed me to even worship in the temple.

And the temple was absolutely gorgeous.
I’m so grateful for friends like Arizona.
Also.
Came to the conclusion once again that I need a man that will be with me in the temple.
God answers prayers guys.

Anyway.
I was a little crazy loopy by the end of that car ride. Two Red Bull’s, and cheddar popcorn kept me awake.

Ask Arizona about the fortune teller called music shuffle.
I was awake for 22 hours strait and slept like a dead person. How am I going to survive the medical field?

One more thing.
Shout out to my family for ALWAYS saving my bacon and supporting me in literally everything I do. Love you guys.

Broke college students CAN adventure. I’m proof.

Coming Home

Alright ya'll. Hello!

I had some time to kill so I thought I would write another blog post with an update on what's going on in my world.

I returned home from my mission.

Spoiler: coming home is the hardest thing.

It. Is. Hard. Way more difficult than I anticipated and sometimes I feel like I'm barely hanging on. I LOVED my mission and I miss Utah almost every day.

Anyway.

I was home for a month.

Some things I learned being back in Oregon:
-my nephew and niece are the cutest children in the world, hands down
-having sisters is WAY different than having brothers
-just because you know something is wrong doesn't mean you won't do it (damn agency)
-Disneyland is still the happiest place on Earth
-dating is fun and thanks to the guys that took me out
-my mama is still my best friend
-my family puts the FUN is dysfunctional and with family we have it all
-daily scripture study and prayer are a must
-I still just want to adventure and discover the gorgeous world God has created
-lastly, God just reaffirms to me over and over that he loves all this children

After a month with family and friends, I'm back at SVU.

1.) It's super hard being here without my best friends.
2.) I love being able to see all my favorite things (aka parkway and panther falls)
3.) I hate having to make new friends especially when I've been blessed with the best ones
4.) our ipads are pretty dope
5.) there is a distinct 100% smell about BV that I love. According to Higgy it smells "earthy"
6.) I still resist change, but I'm trying to be better

I have three semesters left and I am more determined and motivated than ever.

Also. My New Years Resolution is... *drum roll please*
Consistancy.
Consistency in spirituality.
Consistency in fitness.
Consistence in emotional well-being.
Consistency in who I am.
