HI. Me again.
There isn’t much to write...
But if I’m going to be completely honest, I am so bored at work and I’m trying to be somewhat productive and not just scroll. So I figured a form of journaling would be good.
Redfish opens this week. We are pretty excited about that to be completely honest.
I’m liking work... it isn’t as fulfilling, and sometimes the days are slow and boring... but overall it’s a good job and I appreciate the income and the opportunity to live in such a beautiful place.
Trevor has been working trying to get things up and rolling for The Gazebo Grill at the lake, and his life is about to get insanely busier in the next few days. We are hoping that for the most part we will get to have the same days off.
Our car has been having some mechanical issues... but for now are just planning to ignore them and hope for the best. (Maybe not the best form of adulting... but it’ll do).
We did a nine mile hike the other day to Bench Lakes... super gorgeous and totally worth it. We also saw an interesting hut on the map... and decided to bush-wack a little bit and check it out. It’s awesome. For the record. Just this random hut, (solar paneled) in the middle of nowhere. Pretty cool.
Our cabin/apartment is a glorified 8-10 storage unit... but we now have a shower that works and has good water pressure... so we don’t sneak into the lodge anymore to shower. Unless we want to shower together because our shower is is too small... and any person taller than 5’6” would have to squat haha. For once in my life I’m grateful for my shortness.
And although our place is small, I love it. I love getting to spend this time with T up here... we are honestly have the best time.
We’re hoping to off-road a bit more and explore more of this beautiful place that we get to call home for the next 4.5 months.
Oh yeah.
And I’ve been called as the Stanley branch pianist. I’m actually kinda excited about it. I love playing the piano.
