GALENTINES

This week has been a blur. I have been consistently exhausted. On the bright side, yesterday after working in the freezing cold, I took an hour and half nap, went to bed early that night, and slept for 11 hours. Lol. I think I was tired. Hopefully I will be energized for this week!

On Friday I was rigged into speed dating. Yes, you heard me right. Speed dating. 🤢 They told us that they were catering Thai food. Obviously, if I don’t have to cook for myself, I am going to go. BUT. They told us that in order to get food, we had to participate in the speed dating. Internally, I gave the largest eye-roll and self-deprecating moan of disgust, but it actually turned out to be really fun! I love people, and although I felt like I was in missionary dinner appointment mode, it was super great. And following Valentine’s Day (a constant reminder that I am unwanted by the male species), it was fun. Fifteen dates in one week, rough life man.

Nothing makes me feel as fat as conditioning with 18 year old fit freshman. I have got SO much work today and no matter what I do I am reminded of all the fitness flaws that my body and mind have. I’ve got a big mountain to climb. But it’s okay. It’s been done before. I can’t expect fitness without pain. We also played on the grass field, and I got SO MUDDY! It made me feel like I was 13 again playing in a competitive tournament.

On the bright side I hit some big numbers on my max’s this week. Not any PR’s, but better than I was expecting post-mission.

Arizona and I went to Mexican food for Valentine’s Day. It was delicious in my un-snobbish of Mexican food opinion. I hate like two whole baskets of chips by myself. #fatty

The announcement about communication from the missionaries is WAY cool! I’m jealous I didn’t have that!

Anywayyyyy.

Went to visit a sister that I minister to with Coach Cox and it was sooooo good! I have just felt this need to reach out to her, and we went to church together today. So that’s been really good! I sense a friendship in the making!

On a funny, not so funny note, I was driving up to class and saw these two girls about to walk up the hill of death to get to campus. I stopped to offer them a ride and they agreed, and when the second girl came over to the car, she missed the curb, and landed on the pavement face-first!!! I. Was. Shook. She didn’t get her hands out in time and her face hit the pavement. Come to find out her and her sister are in my ward, and the girl that fell HAS A CONCUSSION. I am never giving service again.

Anyway.

High School soccer this week starts this week, so my life about to get crazy. Pray for my soul.

Love you all.

I say “you all” like more people than my mom read my blog. Lol.
